MEMBER SAFETY RULES & ACKNOWLEDGMENT

1. Protect Your Information

Do not provide unnecessary financial information, passwords, account credentials, Social Security numbers, or other sensitive information to another member.

2. Never Send Money

Do not send money, gift cards, cryptocurrency, financial assistance, or similar items to another member.

3. Verify Information Yourself

NJ Virtual Connection does not guarantee the accuracy of information supplied by members.

Members should independently evaluate information before deciding whether to communicate with or meet another person.

4. First Meetings

Choose public locations and use your own transportation.

Tell someone you trust where you will be.

5. Boundaries

Respect another person's boundaries and immediately stop unwanted communications or conduct when asked.

6. Suspicious Conduct

Report suspected fraud, threats, harassment, impersonation, or other serious safety concerns to NJ Virtual Connection when appropriate.

7. Emergency

NJ Virtual Connection is not an emergency response service.

Call 911 or the appropriate emergency service when immediate assistance is required.
